Bright Sparkes ...

Four students from Quest Taekwondo, Leeds - Jason Mann, Daniel Sparkes, Tyler Sparkes and James Rylatt - joined athletes from other Quest clubs to compete in the Future Champions event in Barnsley, hosted by Scorpion Taekwondo on the 28th of October.

Daniel, Tyler and James were making their competition debuts.  As a senior James was in a 1 to 1 match, whilst the boys were in an open competition.  Jason, the experienced player on the team, had a tough day moving up into a combined weight category. All gave an excellent account of themselves and Tyler and Daniel had sibling success by both winning their first championships.

Karl Mann, the Quest Taekwondo Leeds instructor, said, “It’s very exciting when you get two members of the same family doing so well. It will be interesting to see how this sibling rivalry develops. It makes me think we could have the Taekwondo equivalent of Triathlons Brownlee brothers!  As their instructor, I am very proud of them as I am with all my students”.
