GB National Squad Coach

Olympic Taekwondo

Stephen Jennings is a former Great Britain National Team competitive player and international Taekwondo athlete. Originally from Liverpool, Jennings competed for his local club, before being selected for the GB National Team. He fought in many international events before his recent retirement from competitive taekwondo. Jennings is now a coach at both club and national level, and is currently a coach of the GB National Squad.

Members of Quest Taekwondo, plus guests from clubs across the UK, were privileged to welcome Stephen Jennings to the Quest Penistone venue last weekend. The seminar was an extremely rare opportunity for taekwondo practitioners outside of the British Squad to experience training with a GB Taekwondo squad coach.

The hall was full and the atmosphere buzzing as over 90 participants warmed up and prepared for 3 hours of sport-focused Taekwondo instruction. Everyone enjoyed a great seminar, with a clear emphasis upon getting the basics right as the foundation upon which to build more advanced techniques.

Stephen then took the more advanced players and led a highly focused sport taekwondo session for those currently competing at a high level. It was inspiring to see the young talent so focused and keen to make the most of the opportunity to learn from such a high level coach.

The excellent turnout was testament to the high regard held for the GB Squad coach, and no-one was disappointed at the end of a very enjoyable day.
