February Taekwondo Holiday Camp

Taekwondo Holiday Camp
"Developing our new Champions"

Between February 18th and 20th, the Quest Taekwondo Centre was buzzing as we hosted our biggest and best Holiday Club sessions to date. Open exclusively to school-age Quest members, the club welcomed enthusiastic participants ranging from as young as 5 years old to as experienced as 14, covering the full spectrum from white belts to 3rd Poom Black Belts.

Our program was structured around three main themes: Strength and Conditioning, Olympic Sparring, and Poomsae. Each session was designed, not only to enhance physical fitness and technical prowess, but also to build discipline, confidence, and teamwork among our young athletes. In addition to our structured training, we offered plenty of free play opportunities. To encourage active participation and minimize screen time, electronic devices were limited during these sessions. Children were allowed to use handheld devices only during the early registration period before 9am and again at lunchtime, ensuring a balanced approach between connectivity and physical engagement.

During free play, the children had a blast taking part in a variety of activities—from competitive team games and creative pad fortress building to drawing imaginative pictures. On the final day, with 20 eager participants, we concluded the sessions with a demonstration practice. This special practice not only allowed the children to showcase their newfound skills but also served as an excellent preparation for the upcoming Galas and Fayres planned for the summer season.

At the heart of the Holiday Club was our guiding mantra: "To try hard and be kind." We were delighted to see every child embody this philosophy throughout the event. Their enthusiasm, perseverance, and camaraderie were truly inspiring. Many even continued their learning by joining our evening classes, underscoring the success and impact of the holiday club.

Overall, the event was a tremendous success, providing our members with an unforgettable experience that blended rigorous training with fun, creativity, and a strong sense of community. We look forward to welcoming more participants in future sessions and continuing to create a nurturing and energetic environment for all our young athletes.
